His next of kin was his brother, Joseph Wells, of 71, Marine Parade, Yarmouth, England. He was six feet tall, had a medium complexion, hazel eyes and brown hair, and was a Methodist. He had four large vaccination marks on his left arm, and a mole in the centre of his back between the shoulder blades.
